A NUMBER of Fremantle children now have the perfect tool to hide their identity and become anyone they want after making a variety of character masks at the Fremantle Arts Centre last week.

Children were able to let their imaginations run wild during the school holiday workshop, creating a number of colourful masks and drawings of their very own creatures.

Fremantle Arts Centre learning co-ordinator Silvia Ferolla said there was a vast array of characters on display after the workshop.

“Participants get to think up their own character, whether it is a superhero, a fairy or an alien and then with the help from a local artist they learn to put their ideas to paper,” she said.

“Their favourite drawing is then converted to their very own personalised mask.

“It lets their imaginations run wild and teaches them how to combine a whole mountain of fun and colourful materials.”
