LANDS Minister Brendon Grylls has called for expressions of interest from proponents interested in developing the local centre at LandCorp’s award-winning Harvest Lakes estate in Atwell.

“The five lots on offer make up the local centre and will include retail, medical and childcare amenities,” he said.

“It will become the heart of the Harvest Lakes Village Centre, providing the fast-growing community with shops and services to cater for its day-to-day needs.

“With Harvest Lakes’ potential population of 4200 people and easy access for the wider catchment area of Perth’s southern suburbs, the growth opportunities for businesses in the local centre look bright.”

The Minister said the vision for the centre was one of a relaxed community environ-ment, combining retail, business and local services with family-focused amenities.

“Harvest Lakes has built a reputation as a highly sought-after residential address based on strong community and environmental sustainability principles,” Mr Grylls said.

“The local centre will be easily accessed from the Kwinana Freeway and linked to local bus networks servicing the estate and surrounding suburbs.

“In addition, a future train station at Success is planned for within the Department of Transport’s Public Transport for Perth in 2031 document.”

The expression of interest period will close at 2pm on Thursday, August 25.
